The ELASER is a portable, handheld laser cleaning system, designed and built in the UK by Woodrow Scientific.
A compact wheeled unit paired with a sub-3 kg handheld scanner lets a single operator strip rust, paint, coatings and contamination from virtually any surface — with no chemicals, no abrasive media, no water and no consumables.
Tunable from 0–100% up to 300 W, the laser lifts everything from light oxides to thick coatings.

A high-energy pulsed laser is aimed at the surface, where it instantly vaporises the contaminant layer — rust, paint, coating or residue — and lifts it away.
Because the power is tunable, one machine spans a huge range: from graffiti, soiling and light oxides through to weld scale and other thick coatings. It works across metals, stone, brick, concrete and more.
Yes, by default our laser cleaning systems emit class 4 radiation due to the high power and energy pulses required for effective cleaning.
However, we have developed advanced engineering controls that ensure access to any radiation greater than class 1 is not possible.
